Honoring a Legacy: Kicking Off Aleene’s 75th Anniversary PR Campaign

Seventy-five years ago, my grandmother, Aleene Jackson, changed the crafting world forever with the creation of Aleene’s Tacky Glue. What began as a small adhesive brand—originally called “Glue d’Aleene”—quickly became a household name, trusted by generations of creators, artists, and DIY enthusiasts. Today, I am honored to continue her legacy as I lead the PR efforts for Aleene’s 75th Anniversary Celebration in collaboration with iLoveToCreate, the company carrying forward her remarkable vision.

This is just the beginning of a strategically designed PR campaign to honor Aleene’s impact, showcase the brand’s evolution, and inspire a new generation of makers.

As we embark on this journey, I’m thrilled to be working alongside my brother, Grady Hall, an innovative storyteller who will bring Aleene’s legacy to life through compelling video and AI-driven content. Additionally, my aunt, Tiffany M. Windsor, a renowned craft industry leader, will serve as an invaluable advisor, ensuring we capture the heart and soul of Aleene’s mission.

One of the key themes of this campaign is resilience—just as Aleene’s Tacky Glue has stood the test of time, so has the spirit of crafting itself. With the shifts in the retail landscape, including the recent challenges facing Joann Stores, we’re seeing a renewed appreciation for creativity, handmade goods, and the deep connections formed through crafting. Our campaign will highlight not only the history of Aleene’s but also the exciting future of crafting, fueled by innovation and community.

Over the next year, we’ll be rolling out a dynamic mix of content, events, and storytelling initiatives that celebrate 75 years of sticking together (yes, pun intended!).

From nostalgic throwbacks to fresh, modern applications of Aleene’s products, this campaign will bridge the past, present, and future of the brand in a way that honors its rich history while embracing new creative possibilities.

Stay tuned for exciting announcements, collaborations, and behind-the-scenes glimpses into how we’re crafting this milestone celebration. This is only the beginning, and I can’t wait to share this journey with all of you!

I don’t follow scripts. I help rewrite them.

For nearly three decades, I’ve worked with people and brands at pivotal moments- launches, pivots, reinventions, and second acts. The work blends strategy, story, positioning, and visibility into one integrated engine for growth and relevance.

Sometimes we build a breakout chapter. Sometimes we redesign the whole arc. Either way, the goal is the same: create something truer, stronger, and built to last.
